# Introduction

> Relay sends your app's events to the services that need them, as signed webhooks that are retried until they arrive.

Your app sends Relay an event, such as `invoice.paid`. Relay stores it, works out which endpoints subscribed to it, and delivers it to each one as an HTTPS request. If an endpoint is down, Relay retries on a schedule for up to two days, so you don't have to build a queue, a retry loop or a delivery log yourself.

## What you get

* **At-least-once delivery.** Every event reaches every subscribed endpoint, or ends up in your failed deliveries where you can replay it.
* **Signed requests.** Each webhook carries a `Relay-Signature` header made with your endpoint's secret.
* **One queue per endpoint.** A slow endpoint never holds up the others.
* **A delivery log.** Every attempt, its status code and its response time, in the dashboard and the CLI.
